no, axe would be the best in your thinking line, since you could add any point or use any item with str/dex without ruining your final output

the hint is try to keep ur str/dex near the weapon ratio

i don't quite understand this ratio thing then o.O

so a stat point doesn't give you any ee?
just the higher the stats while closer the ratio, the higher ee?
