Hi,
i am new to this game and i want to understand the transmuting.
what i have understood till now is, that to transmute is the way to get
good stuff. Is that correct?

I tried to transmute and i can only transmute tier 1 items..i think this is normal due
to my mute level. do i have to mute many tier 1 items before i can get to the high items?
and i get essences tier 1 for each tier 1 item i muted. and the way i see it, when i mute essence 1 with item t1
the item gets new stats (very bad until now)

is there a guide to the muting system or an explanation about how to do it?

p.s. does it make sence to transmute my items or should i use them to heal me?

Correct. Tier I is for a long long long time.
A long time ago we had a guide for when it first changed to the current system.

Basically it takes a long long time to see the benefits, the time the benefits really first appear is tier 3, and this requires ~lvl 6-7 transmuting.
so presuming we fail none this would take.
100 items for rank 1, 200 items for rank 2, 300 items for rank 3, etc.
about ~ 2100 items (probably closer to 3k/3.5k including fails) which is an awful lot of work.

So unless you really really want to go down this route, i recommend just climbing


Just like to say your items are looking good so far for your climb! keep buying EE weapons every 5-10 levels and changing armor every now and then and you'll do fine.

Well the idea from my guess was the fact you get ~10 points into proficiency when you do ONE item at the correct tier and +x, so from 0-1 = 1000 points, = 100 mutes, 1-2 = 2000, = 200 mutes, then just totaled it.

If you click the ladder icon (near where you log out), then go to skills then to transmuting. It shows the highest people.

on HC the highest is a proficiency of 40
I don't even want to know how many items he has muted.

there is good new. 1-10 is on a very quick scale once you get to 11 you get into a pattern of prof exp and of what u can mute. max is 75 points its still hundreds of mutes. you have just as much chance to find something by play. i have level 35 muting prof.
