you have to go in catas (better if you find a group) and click on the monsters to kill them

about the barb's stats, it depends on the weapon you want to use

I took a look at your character and you are on the right track. Here are just a few thoughts/advices:

Keep adding to STR, and try to use Swords/Clubs as they both benefit greatly from +Strength.
Keep trying to find armors with Enhanced Effect, this will help make you an efficient tanker. Same goes for weapons, Enhanced Effect should be the primary mod you search for.
Remember that upgrading is necessary, when FG or drops allow, you will want to try to build weapon/armor "sets" to get you from level 1 all the way up the climb. Try to upgrade every 10-20 levels minimum on your weapon/armor, the charm should come last as it is the least important of the three for a melee type character.
