I am looking to make a char that will not cost much fg since it'e my first character but still a good one

if anyone can help I'd apreciate

Vita barb can tank pretty cheap.

if u want to start a cheap char i'd say take a barb with clubs, chain or plate mails and strength charms.

clubs need enhanced effect, chain/plate mails need strength or enhanced effect ( if u choose ee you're a better tank, if u choose strength you'll do more damage ) and charms with strength.

put all your stats into strength when you start @ softcore. 60 base vita is enough.

if you want a cheap character that everybody will love- make a healer and heal the group while they crack skulls,you wont do much damage at first but EVERYBODY loves a healer,nobody loves a cruddy barb

example rite now i see a lvl10 staff 20% heal mastrey on market for 1 fg,a lvl5 robe 20% heal mastery (HM) 1 fg, a lvl10 charm with decent adds 22% hm,and assorted heal charms lvl10 and lvl20 above 50% enhanced effect(EE) 1 fg
that could probably take u to level 30 with ease in a group,then read the guides for making a few fg written by jhlromeo and start creating your heal charm set,as u will want to upgrade them each 10 levels

mages and guardians can heal, probly best to do mage as Im unsure about Guardians and they wear diapers
use your begin stats 5 vita 5 intel, then all intel rest of the way

just try to pickup some items when u begin-looking for robes,charms,daggers/staffs with nice adds such as max mana/max life/+intelligence/heal mastery

The club barb is probly the cheapest melee to start but will become more expensive later

Barbs are the easiest to start with. Clubs are cheaper then swords/axes now...but swords are the best. Use a 75/25 str/dex ratio w/ a sword barb and you should be good to go.
