he doesnt play ladderslasher and i wanted to make a rogue and he didnt know how to help

any pointers?

If you play your rogue as a melee character, choose your weapon (with enhanced effect) and then items/stats based on the appropriate ratios. (http://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?g=3)
For example if you choose daggers, stat everything into dexterity, clubs with strength, etc.

Armors: If you want to tank, choose enhanced effect leathers or scales. If you want to do more damage, choose the stat that will benefit your damage more (according to the ratios).
Charms: If you're a melee, you should try to focus only on the main slot charm. Get either strength or dexterity on the charm based on the appropriate weapon ratio.
