Are there more monsters that deal Physical damage than magical damage?
I have never seen a padded robe go front row. Just wondering why my monk blows.

Also, what are the best stats + gear for tank/melee and tank/cast setups
i basically am trying out ee/vita ee/int gear and ee/max life right now

for monk i think the best would be : ee robe/vita.

because the ee robe will give you magical defense and vita will give you a litle physical defense.

max life is good for low level but when you are high level, its useless

Don't tank with a monk.

because people prefer to go back so they have less chance to die and do better dmg. Robe are only an excuse to not tank with a robe..

Builds with EE padded robes can compete with plate mails, but good chains/scales/leathers will outdo most any padded robe tanker. It's probably best to sit in the back and get stat gear to do as much damage as possible.

Supposing that you were to play solo, ee padded robes can come in quite handy as you'll take very noticeably less damage. The best solo build for robe melee chars is either to hybrid if you have very sexy stat/hm gear and heals, or add a good chunk of extra vit with ee padded robes and play pure melee from there.

thanks I have a few ee padded, 1 with nice int. but i have lots of gear with vita mods to use
im still wondering if more monsters do physical or magical damage

The general consensus is that more are physical.
