so when u reach lvl 71 do u automatically do the master quest?
or can u save it?

also what happens to stuff u are wearing?
should u unequip it and throw into storage?

You have the option to choose when to attempt the Master Quest.
Your gear remains on your character, you will not lose anything.

You can't "save" the MQ for eternity. Once/if the ladder resets, you'll have to start back at square one :)
