Imo start with a barb/fighter
Get you some cheap decent swords.
And str armurs if you want more dmg or ee if you want to tank.
And get a str charm.
With swords you can go from feeder to monk then will have to buy gear for monk.
Plates/chains/leathers/or scales for the armur it dont rly matter.
Plates/chains for more phys def and scales/leathers for more mag and phys combined.
With a scale/leather you will be able to tank thro the casters better.With plates/chains not so good.
And all stat points go into str.
