Thats right i have a question on weapons...i prefer melee chars, barbs fighters and such. My question is should i go with an Axe that gives constant damage or go with a sword that has a much better chance to land a critical hit but has a large damage range...opinions please.

Both axes and swords have the same chance to crit, unless the sword you find has +crit strike on it.

Its all preference, but one thing to consider is with swords you can use them on Samurai and axes you cant. If you are comfortable with having to get a dagger set if you pass then go with axes. If you dont want to switch weapon type when you pass, go with swords.

If you plan on playing the same char over and over and not progressing to the next class, then its all back to preference. Some people choose to do this to gain proficiencies of the same type, or if they play the game just for drops and dont want to invest in multiple item sets
