Why are so many people that are giving price checks in hardcore ls, are repetitively giving lowest prices on items and then even buying items that they p/c'ed?
Price fixing was illegal I thought? Driving prices down just so they can afford godlys.

As these prices are going... Most things in sc will be more valuable and to some people there will be like no point in even playing hc other than to just do it with friends.

Not so many items exist on Hcls so the value of these items should be greater in many peoples opinions I would think.

If you see someone buying something they PC'd, and especially if it was for a low amount, report them to a moderator accordingly.

There's nothing wrong with a bad price check, as long as people are actually having arguements for it.

Personal Opinion:
If they are wittingly driving down the price to purchase for their own gain, then they are definately being devious (sp).
Personally, that is why I do not even bother about PC'ing even in SC.

Personal Suggestion:
Check out Price Check everyday and look at the HC items, when you see that an item is priced below value, do 1 of 3 things:
1. PM the person that has the item and offer what it was PC'd at or Slightly above the valuation.
2. Price Check its' value yourself, your opinion is that it is higher, so PC it.
3. PM a moderator to ask to check on that or those threads.

At the end of the day, there are always people trying to diddle the way things are to benefit themselves... that is what it is about currently.

And more than 80% of the time its just a spam fest in there...

Matt, while I sincerely appreciate that you are in 'agreeance' with me that there is something awkward going on, I hope this thread does not end up like the previous one.

I already took it into my own hands and apologized for being wrong on a p/c and openly stated that I will no longer be volunteering my free time to help others within the price check forum. Not all people can deal with mistakes or errors, even when receiving them free without asking for payment in return.

I rarely think it becomes a spam fest in there, other then that one thread.



This is wrong for a few reasons. Purchasing something they p/c is not illegal in any set of rules, only unmoral and suggested against. With that being said, there is a 'rule' against it but I see no way that this is challengeable since it can be severely opinionated and would have to be insanely obvious to be caught.

Having arguments are not allowed. You simply post your your opinion of price and leave. If someone posts a different opinion you don't go back and say anything. Many of us are guilty of this as I just realized this recently.

The only option we should be thinking about:

This is a game. We should all be honest and play the game. There should be no shenanigans going on. No buying behind someones back for fg gain, no flaming anyone, no putting people down, no "I don't slash with xxx", and certainly no price fixing. Fg is not the new currency, it's a way to purchase things in a virtual world for virtual items so that we can all HAVE VIRTUAL FUN. Too many people act like fg is going to pay your mortgage (or rent) but it's not.

Either way... just have fun.

I know there is nothing wrong with giving bad price checks but, alot of these people are just spamming there cause they have no clue what these items are worth due to them only being in hardcore for only like 1- 25 days and are just posting to raise there post count... They dont even understand there is less items on hardcore and that makes all items totally rare and worth 2-5 times more than softcore items. But instead they think that because these items can be lost, they think these items are worth less than sc and thats really annoying me!

You are not forced to listen to everyone, just ignore price checks from people that have no HC experiance, the only real problem I see you pointing out is people PCing items they are bidding on.
