Mages are not meant to go melee, but adding str. into a mage will increase your damage. It will not increase by much but maybe a little. They are meant to be healers and casters ;)

Mages should typically attack with a damage charm, and also have a heal charm to use. Intelligence is the way to go, it will help aid your damage (casting) and also increase your healing power. Try to find gear with INT and/or HEAL MASTERY, and use charms with ENHANCED EFFECT (both damage and heal)

It seems you playing an interesting mage build, one that I don't quite utilizes what the mages strengths are.

Mages are typically played as casters which are typically built like follows or played as healers but I won't get into that.

Stats:
First 10-20 points into Vitality and then the rest into Intelligence.

Weapons - Staff/Dagger with Int
Armor - Any robe with Int
Main Charm - EE attack charm (wind, fire ect)
Acc Charm - EE heal charm (wild, focused and regular)

Generally this is the basic mage casting set-up. Ofc there are variations for if you plan to cast in catas, but I would not recommend it with a prof less than 10.

Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions :)
