you are already going to want to reroll

intel and vita dont work like in d2, they have a cumulative affect, every level up you gain mana/life equivalent to your base vit/int so saving stat point actually hurts you in LS

guardians are typically healing and defensive characters, unless you have a lot of fg to make an effective hybrid

Quote
Strength: Increases the base damage for melee weapons.
Dexterity: Increases your chance to critical hit, and damage dealt when you critical hit. It also reduces damage when enemies critical hit you. The effects are subject to a diminishing return formula.
Vitality: Increases the base defense for armor. For every 25 stat points you have in vitality, you gain +1 to Life Regen. Every Level Up you will gain an amount of life equal to your base vitality.
Intelligence: Increases the base effect for charms. For every 25 stat points you have in intelligence, you gain +1 Mana Regen. Every Level Up you will gain an amount of mana equal to your base intelligence.

Guardians are typically played as healers/defensive characters like TJ said. With that being said, you should stat all points into intelligence to get a large mana pool.

As for items:
Weapon: Club with Heal Mastery
Armor: Chain/Plate with Heal Mastery or a Chain/Plate with enhanced effect
Charm Slot 1: A heal charm with Heal Mastery
Charm Slot 2: A heal charm with enhanced effect
