So I've been reading some stuff about LS and it seems pretty intense, I'm not very familiar with the game at all and I was wondering if there is nooby builds to get me through a few levels, some stuff
I should know, what's good and what's not good, etc.etc. I think I'm getting unlocked soon, It's been over a year so, hopefully he'll accept my request on the 13th.

But the starting character best would be a Fighter. The gear you want is the following:

Axes or Swords - The reason for this is it can be used on multiple characters.
If you go with axes then you want more strength and a little bit less dex(85-100 dex for axes)
If you go with swords then you want the more dex ( more crits ^^ )

The armor: Try and get some leathers or scales or other armors ( except robes ) with EE(enhanced effect) for tanking,
Dex is a good factor because you can tank, do crits and have a nice average damage

The Charm should be strength or dex.

I would go with strength because the more strength = the more damage.
You want around 100-120 dex by 55, this will let you tank good and then you can also do some nice crits
