i just started playing ls, and i was wondering what would be the best/easiest character type to start out with...lmk plz...

fighter with club

Either id say a cheap melee, club/axes on a barb or a fighter.
Other alternative is to try and get decent heal gear;

id hit for 15, 35 and 55 Heal charm if i were to cut down the budget at max, some HM gear and u can always be helpful as a healer in game,something
that is needed and apprichiated.

This may help.

Some people say rogue, some people say fighter, some say barbarian.

I say Rogue takes a little too much skill and forum gold to be really efficient in catacombs.
I'll suggest a fighter for you, since that's what I'm in the mood for.

Stats : At level 55 with your final gear on :
About 70 Dexterity
Rest into strength.

Gear :
Enhanced Effect Axe
Enhanced Effect Scale
Dexterity charm.

Don't put any points into dexterity, just let the dexterity charm you are using at level 55 give you enough dexterity to get around 70.

This will be a nice build to tank and do consistent damage in Catacombs and in Arena.
