You may want to update your weapon with a new Level 15 sword.
You can get about the same amount of EE, it will help just to have the level 15 sword.
I suggest updating your weapon every 10-15 levels.
Update your armor every 20-30 levels. Get EE on your armor as well. Make sure it's a plate or a chain.
Finally, you never really need to update your charm, whenever you can get something better for cheap.
