I was thinking of getting some prof for different weapons (~from level 0 to level 5 ish) on my main char.

I was wondering... do I get the same amount of prof exp? if I just climb from level 1 and reroll at 15 and climb again? (rinse and repeat?

Well you have to be fighting mobs 1 level higher than your proficiency rank, so if you have rank 10 you won't gain any profs until level 11. I think that the best way to gain proficiencies is to just stick with a single weapon type and use that consistently, rather than trying to only rank up your proficiencies and nothing else. They'll come with time and the more you slash then the more profs you'll get, so stop asking questions and go slash now!

lvl 0-5 profs shouldn't be too difficult as you'll get quite a lot at the earlier stages.

And as the above stated 1 level higher than lvl 1 is only lvl 2 and so on and so forth. So you'll have about 15-19 levels
to solo with decent gear.

however, if you reroll that soon, you may lose interest quickly. after you solo to 20-25 ish or however
far you can get, continue on catacombs, you'll still receive decently high profs in the begininng.

nothing like arena, but 10-15% isn't too bad. perhaps more, i never kept track of proficiencies
i would get from catacombs. so you may need to verify that just a general overview
