E: sorry for stupid title. Was supposed to be "How can you play "a caster"?"
Playing a mage as caster is obviously possible, but eventually you'll pass mq. I don't think I have ever seen a samu (and not even a pala or monk) cast in any other way than healing if absolutely necessary.
I kinda wonder why some people complete sets with damage charm on low levels. Are they all playing WL already?
Are there still successful hybrids like described in the sticky that just don't join catas? Or did I just join the wrong cata groups without hybrids? Anyway, getting lower level dam charms seem only feasible on mage/wl/alch to me. Is this right or is it principally possible to play anything as pure caster? Or do people reroll their mages over and over again in order to lvl profs and get even better wellers?
Any help appreciated!
yea there are successfuls hybrids out there in catas but there is no point for them to cast i think the max mana i see a high lvl was like 4k i think, but there is no point for them to be casting dmg in catacombs.
since they are "hybrids" their melee should be able to hit some high dmgs in cata and they would heal if needed necessary.
In arena depending on gear they could cast or melee up to them, only hybrid i ever saw casting in an arena are rogues. other than that monks, samaurai, paladins i see usually heals and have crazy ass melee dmg.
with the initial points u start hybrids usually dump into int to get the xtra mana they can get per level as it adds up. tho you dont usually see them casting or healing until the higher lvls like 30+
anyway so many different questions to answer let meknow if you need anything else
