So, here is my problem.

I leveled my fishing prof to level one with really no problems (using a pole). I broke a few poles and decided to go without for now.

Now..I understand (I think) how to click the "snag counter" button when it says snag. I've done this successfully many times now

However, I seem to be having this problem where, I will hit the "counter" button and it acts as though I messed up or something (i.e. the fish's

meter goes way down/I lose the fish). I believe my timing is exactly the same as when I am successful in countering the snag.

This seems to be happening about 80% of the time now. Does it act like this when not using a pole?


also, I've also noticed this. If the snag happens approx 1second after my cast, I have no problems. If it happens like..half way through..I can never get it?

I'm completely dumbfounded as to what's happening here. So any advice would be appreciated!

maybe I just suck at fishing!

You suck at fishing because you're apparently using the loaner rod. Spend some of that fg on a nice 20+ dura splintered rod and your snag counter will be a lot more effective.

lol, yes, a fishing pole helped a great deal.

However, the issue seems to be a timing thing. I've found that you want your "reel" bar to jump up right before the "snag" bar does.
This will allow you to hit the snag button properly. This is due to the "lag" or "cool down" of clicking. (same as the 1second cool down
when casting a spell or attacking)

yeah i just dont let my rods break. i abort after 1 fail cuz my timing is usually off when i do that. that way no rod breaks and im not spending any fgz on getting a new one

Counter snag.

This was you will be ready for the Snags. Works for me, imo best way to fish. And yes poles do help, but I'm sure thats not what you needed help with.

Cooking do the same thing.
