what are glyphers looking for in items?

i know at lower lvls muters like anything arcane + and i assume glyphers are the same but what about when you get to tier 5+? i find a lot of items that i go "hmm that would be a sweet glyph" but i dont want to spend the time getting to that lvl of glyphing nor do i want to save em if i ever did get inspired to do so.

basically what can i keep to try and make a nice little pitence of fg every once in a while

Well you can always make easy 1 FG's by posting the current tier that Nara is after. I think Malte is currently Arcane + Tier III's and like Magical Tier IV's but not positive. As for other glyphs, anything that has 5+ in dex, str, int is usually a good start. People also like HM and heal mastery. Max mana/life stuff can be useful for making the low lvl climb even easier. Magic Luck can also be very great for wellers so be on the look out for those also

Unless I'm outdated, I believe NaRa needs arcane+ level 10 and up to rare level 15 for experience gaining.
If you are not a glypher, I don't believe you would gain much by keeping such items 'in case' you decide to glyph one day..
It take soooo long to get to that level of glyphing..
If you want a quick sale, sell them for 1 fg as NaRa Food :p

Thank you for pointing into my direction all

It is not easy to glyph these days with the mp restriction. As a result, the mp is almost empty.
There is just not enough raw material to glyph and it gets harder with every level and items you need.
Higher tier items dont drop that frequent on catas so that it hurts even more if others grab them as shrines.
A good way to get raw material are solo climbs, but high magical levels are too seldom to find, even with ml gear.

Still, as mentioned above it doesnt really help to collect items for later.
Its not a question of weeks, but rather months and years to get into the higher regions.

You will simply run out of room to store them very soon and will end up either selling or shrining them.
I tried to collect some extremely sexy ones and ended up with many mules containing 35+ items each.

But of course you can support other glyphers by putting them on the mp at 1fg.
Especially arcane+ items with any tier are highly appreciated as they are seldom.

In my case, it is arcane+ lvl 10 for instance.
As there are none to 2-3 items on the mp per day only, i cant rely on this alone though.
Thats why i try to glyph lvl 15 magical-rare as well, although they are hard still.

Hard means, i get a lot of ?!? ( one can only guess here ) and the pass rate is WAY lower.
Usually, i fail up to 75+ % of all attempts. Can be really frustrating to waste so much time and coins.

But at my level, i will need around 5000-6000 attempts to reach the next lvl with such a rate.
Cant only do this with arcanes, at that pace it would take years.

Yes, this takes time. And yes, if i need to pay for the items this will cost me around 5-6k fg...
That why most glyphers are really happy for any support they can get.

The problem with an empty market is that you cant select any more. In the past, i used to select.
For instance, i bought items i could either use myself, give to guildies or sell on the mp.
But now, there is not much of a choice. Im happy for any item on the mp to get exp.
They wont sell though and arent usable. All i can do is shrine them and burn 1fg each item.

The only way to make up the costs is selling glyphs. But one cant demand much for them as they are only temporal.
People wouldnt want to spend fg on something that expires after 5-25 mins.
Most are 1-10fg, the really good ones sell for 20.

But with 10 slots on the mp, its very very hard to make up the costs when spending 50-200fg on glyphables per day...
Glyphing relies on the mass of items to buy and sell, not the quality and high amount of fg.
Thus, my transactions look like this:

January: Total Transactions: 358
February: Total Transactions: 1146
March Total Transactions: 2003
April Total Transactions: 2258
May Total Transactions: 929
June Total Transactions: 1274
July Total Transactions: 1405
August Total Transactions: 1154
September Total Transactions: 1891
October Total Transactions: 2400
November Total Transactions: 2509
December Total Transactions: 1804

And its already 1700 for this month...
I expect them to go beyond 3000 for a simple reason:

I dont have enough mp slots and others havent either.
Therefore, we need to pay a 1fg fee each time in order to place items at 20fg and sent back 19fg afterwards.
( 20+fg items are not restricted, cost a fee directly though. )

This takes time and is another financial burden.
Most people arent willing to carry this and stopped helping us.
For beginners its harder to get started as they cant sell many of these low items any more.

Thats why, if you want to start glyphing you need to keep this in mind.
It will need a LOT of time, effort and also financial issues to do it...

No doubt, in my view it is worth it and can pay out one day when you are in a range to glyph those sexy items.
But to get there and get further up is really hard and will go at the expense of your regular slashing.
I was very close to quitting a number of times and im still torn very often these days,
but i still like it too much to stop after all the time...

If you want to collect items for others with stats for glyphables, i recommend especially these:

5+ strength
5+ dexterity
5+ intelligence
5+ experience
2+ magic luck
5+ mana syphon
3+ critical strike
3+ life steal
3+ extra item slots
3+ powershot
5+ mana regen
3+ quick draw
( other supporting mods have become desired as well after the new patch )
150+ life
150+ mana
10+ heal mastery
5+ mana per attack
5+ life per attack
20+ mana per kill
20+ life per kill
