Yeah str and dex are definitely the two main stats u need. Though if you want to solo your barb more I would suggest investing a bit more into dex as it will help with tanking crits and dealing crits yourself. For mAinly catas you don't need as much dex, but it works either way to your advantage. If you decide to buy dex gear I would put your points into str. And vise versa if you decide to get str gear. For new players who might be short on change I would say go with dex gear as it is far cheaper
