For your very first char, where you may not have proper gear, I would poke the first 10 points into vit, so that your life increases by that amount + base as you lvl up.
The next step depends on what mod's you want on your armor//charm.
If you go with str as your main mod on these 2 items, then every stat point you earn should go to dex, aiming for a end-game dex of 100 - 120
If you are going with dex as the main mod, add all your earned stat points to str.
Get weapons with the best EE you can afford for every 5th or 10th lvl
Once you have accumulated a decent armor//charm set, stop adding your initial stat points to vit, and add all to str or dex as dictated by the mod's you have chosen for armor//charm
