Is the dmg change a flat -xx% or is it based on the fact that monsters are now equipped with armor giving Magic defense?

if someone has tested this awesome if not no biggie just trying to figure out how it works to share with my guildies.

ok so
before, you used to get a % bonus based on how much more int you had than the caster
up to 50% extra from the damage shown on your charm

now
you don't get a bonus
and the monster defense subtracts a # from the damage you do

so suppose I have a 1000 damage charm

I would have used to do 1500 per hit

now I do less than 1000 because it's 1000-def

so a big cut in killing speed

chain length seems a little bit unaffected so far, simply because of the lowered mana cost, but now your damage output is basically on par with a melee characters
your only advantage is that your offensive stat (int vs str) also provides a defensive bonus and some mana to cast heals with
imo melee is now more powerfull

your mage isn't really weaker as far as I can tell. Sure, it takes longer to kill a mob now, and takes more casts to kill the mob, BUT I am still getting the same MCC as before the update......AND I still succeeded on the same % of my Wells also.

depends. if you have no intell gear then yeah your mage isnt weaker. but if i understand it right intell no longer factors into charm dmg. that translates to weaker mages who use intell. pretty simple.

is the bold part refering to the enemy casters? if so what % are casters? 50%?

oops caster should have been monster
before, you got a damage boost from your int, this boost is displayed on the charm
then on top of that you got an "amp" boost based on how much higer your int is than the monsters

now you just get that first boost
so displayed damage stayed the same
damage dealt went down
