what is better on a fishing rod, +prof or +durr?

-i.e lvl 5 +20 durability v.s. lvl 5 +1 fishing proficiencies

or what does +1 proficiency = in + durability?

Imo Durr is better then Prof because it makes it easier to catch the fish with out the rod breaking. Where if im not mistaken the Prof will be like using a plain lvl 5 rod but it will give you +1 to your prof.

I have never used a Prof rod but i have used a lot of high Dur rods and they work fine.

As far as I've seen +prof rods have the same durability as a plain white rod.

proficiencies only help in the level of fish you can fish and how your large of a jump you have vs the fish. however the fishes jumps on your rod are still the same as a plain rod of that level.

ie only use prof rods if you are trying to fish for higher tiered fish.

but there are no intermediat lvls of rods....

lvl1, lvl2, lvl3, lvl4, lvl5, lvl6, lvl7, lvl8, lvl9, lvl10...

so if ur proficiencies are at lvl 5 fishing... and u use a lvl 5 rod,

what is going to be better for catching lvl9 fish in 4 senarios,

example1:
lvl5+4 prof rod, or lvl5+50 durr rod

example2:
lvl5+4 prof rod, or lvl5+40 durr rod

example3:
lvl5+4 prof rod, or lvl5 +20 durr rod

example4:
lvl5 prof rod, or lvl5 +10 durr rod

the duribility rods will allways help better then the prof rods. think of the prof rods only as a means of catching higher ranks of fish that you would otherwise be unable to catch without more hard ranks.

ok, so even if the fish is 4 lvls higher than ur rod, +10 durribility is better than +4 prof?
