What are gaurdians main specialty??

Or even what's the best build or a beginner ladder slasher??

There are two guides in the ladder slasher guide collection sticky at the top of these forums.

Guardian isn't really a great starter character though.

They are expensive and gear isn't the typical so finding good gear for them is sometimes a bit hard.

Heals are expensive, EE plates aren't too cheap either, and since you can only use healing charms you can't cast offensively hence soloing at mid to high levels is near impossible.

You want to start with something cheaper or easier than GU if this is your first climb and you've only got 98 fg to work with.

Any suggestions as to what I should start with then??

a rouge or fighter would be your best bet

rouge can basically do what a mage does except they got more weapon and armor selections which are much cheaper

and

fighter > barb

due to the starting points better overall
