So I heard that LAdder Slasher is where the big FG is made...so i was just wondering what it takes to start up a character, what would BE the better character for a noobler, and how long it TAKES to start making a few fgs here and there.
Also whats good to keep and whats best sold?

Anyone wanna help me out here? I could get on a IM and we could chat about it. I'm not really looking for free handouts or anything, just some decent advice or to be pointed in the right direction.

As far as your question, I suggest making a melee Barbarian.

As far as stats go, STR / DEX / VIT are all nice. INT is not needed. I suggest adding first 10 to VIT, then as you level up, keep STR and DEX close (20 more str than dex works well for beginners in my opinion)

Gear suggestions:

Get ee (enhanced effect) on weapons, and upgrade them when you can (usually every 5-10 levels but do what your FG allows)

Get ee on armor, STR / DEX / LIFE are all nice secondary mods. (upgrade these when you can, but weapons are more important in my opinion)

Get STR / DEX / LIFE on a charm. (upgrade same as armor)

Join catacombs, tank for people, grab loot that you can. You will learn over time what is actually worth grabbing.

A quick tip to make a few fg: grab every arcane+ item, and if they look like crap, toss them on the MP for 1fg. If they have nice stats (STR, DEX, INT, LIFE, EE) ask in the Price Check forum for a rough idea.
