Well, I started playing LS about a month ago at best. I have read everything I could find about LS and the builds, lingo, etc.
I am now calling upon the veterans for some much appreciated help:

I have been viewing charms listed for trade in the marketplace. I view them with my level 50 mage; therefore, I know the damage or heal amount before I purchase the charm. I have even taken off my attack charm, which has a lot of intelligence, to see what the damage of the replacement charm would be. It does change, as you would imagine.

My first question: Is this an accurate way to check the total damage of a charm before purchasing it.

I am also doing the same assessment prior to possibly purchasing a new heal charm. I am looking at heal charms with heal mastery.

My second question: Are the heal stats I am viewing on the charm going to actually be higher once equipped since the charm has the heal mastery mod? I would be replacing a heal charm with no heal mastery. I don't know if the stats on the charm can include the heal mastery mod since I don't actually have it equipped, ie: still viewing it in the marketplace.

I would appreciate some guidance before blowing a nice chunk of fg.

Question one: there is a base damage chart somewhere, I will see if I can dig it up.

Question two: yes, your heal will do more, providing you have more INT/HM than the character it is being viewed on.

(example, the item is on a mule with 10 int, your mage has 60 int. the heal will be higher on you)

also, I believe heal mastery is not shown on the charm, but calculated after. so you dont really "see" it's effect. someone verify this

/edit: Autism's INT vs HM Guide, this is good info but not what you need

/edit: yes, HM is better than INT if you are a catacomb healer, which most mages prefer if they dont have 10k+ to invest in solo gear.

I find a happy blend of both works the best, keeping HM as high as you can, using a HM main charm and ACC heal.

I would recommend:

- Try HM if your gonna be a healer.

HM is better than intel, and i doubt you would want to solo :)

Thanks for the info folks.

I looked at the chart of int vs hm.

If Einstein were still alive I would ask him to figure it out for me. I can barely add but looks like a lot of work was put into it.

This.

If you cata, just put on hm gear and put heal charm in the acc slot.

EE for attack and heal charms is all you need.

And 1 Int equal roughly 1.05EE.
