What's the benefit? if any. I see there being more risk due to harder hitting mobs with more hp so not sure if I want to go past it, but if there's a higher drop % or something let me know please.

There's really no benefit. Levels 64+ are all the same drop potential.

So the chance of say a 55 item dropping off a 64 is the same at 71 then also?

yes. (AFAIK)

the difference is so i've heard (could be false so take it with a grain of salt) after 71+ the monsters can't go any higher levels so you're essentially getting stronger while they aren't every level above 71 you go. More Mana More Life etc.
