atm im a low level

useing a staff with 30ee


but what should i look for in items once i get to like 35+

depends of if you are going melee, caster or hybrid.

im guessing melee cause ya i like melee

rogue is nice for melee bc you can use all the weapons

Same as any other character @ 55 you'll want at least 100 dex and rest strength all the way to MQ

So calculate what kind of gear you have for 55 and the +stats on it and you'll get your answer.
