I would personally use the first sword because of the stats compared to the second sword.
Look through the Mp, and you can usually find a low end ee sword for 1 fg or so that would be better than what your current weapon is.

Use the second sword, It is a tier 4 (iron) weapon which has considerably more damage than the tier 3 (bronze)
What you really want on melee weapons is EE = Enhanced effect, which adds more damage.
