Dexterity affects how much you crit not the weapon type.

the only thing weapon type affects is your maximum damage you'll be criticaling for.

E.G. on an axe you aren't likely to see a 2k crit but on a sword you are but a axe or sword don't crit less or more based on the type.

imo go 80 to 85 dex min thats your ideal crit % chance level

higher dex means higher damage crits

higher dex will mean more damage reduction on crits taken

after around 80 to 90 dex your % odds to cause a crit is greatly reduced and almost redundent

So your saying on your characters you don't tend to do the typical 120 or 100?

I've recently found myself going for 110 and 100 more than 120 and I'm considering sticking at 100 because you're right I don't see a significant difference after 100..I've never tried 90.

more str means more constant damage and higher crits

more dex lower normal damage, bigger crits, more crits and more damage reduction from crits taken

its kind of a toss up and people argue it both ways

edit if you are mainly doing catas I would do lower dex and higher str
