I have ran into several people now who whole heartedly believe that EE on a padded robe is great helper.

My math is, a normal robe is say 0 to 35 def, thats 17.5 average. If the robe is 100ee, thats 0 to 70 def, an average of 35 def.

So lets say you are hit 10 times by a melee mob and wearing the EE padded robe, that means you will have 17.5 more def average per damage taken, thats 175 total life saved by this having the EE mod.

Lets say instead of the EE you have more intel which allows you to kill the mob faster, therefore taking less damage as a whole.

So if you had the choice, would you use an intel robe with ee, or intel robe with more intel. (speaking of item values in fg)

you also haveto take under consideration that if you go with a robe with higer intel, you take less dmg from castermobs.
so you have to decide, take abit less dmg from meleemobs and make less dmg, or take less dmg from castermobs and make more dmg :)

Im with you on this one. EE on robes is worthless to me Int is where it is at. The defense difference is negligible.

EE is basically pointless.

Here is why I think so personally:

Plain INT armor vs Plain 100 EE robe

Int Robe:

Int Allows you to kill mobs quicker
Increases Heals (How much you heal per cast)
Provides Caster Critical Defense
17.5 Physical Damage Reduction (from your example)

100 EE robe
35 Physical Damage Reduction

Nothing else...

Which looks more appealing to you?

Of course EE/INT together would be the better option if you were ONLY considering these 2 stats on your robe.

But there are better mods than EE as a secondary if you include those options that would benefit you more than EE

HM for example.
