So I was asked by a guildie "what kind of effect would Quick Draw have on a character with decent + % Experience Gained gears on?" He was refering to how might the extra speed effect your actions and then your xp. I told him I had no clue if it would be worth it to attempt to find gears with both stats and still be an effective member of the group. I wondered then if you get less xp due to actions if you use a heavy weapon...

Edit: Does dexterity increase your attack speed?

You will Get the same xp as normal if you use heavy weapons, if you attack as normal ofc... And dex will do nothing to your speed

cool that answered mine, but I think his question was related to Xp gear + Ouick Draw.

I don't see what kind of effect (if any there would be...)

You'd have the possibility of your next attack coming faster. I guess if that attack kills the monster, then you get your experience quicker?

But...it is just that, a possibility of it happening.

i was under the impression that the number of actions is a contributing factor in xp gain. So he assumed that if you could attack faster your actions would out pace the others in the group and you would gain more xp. Then the original part of the question comes into play. More actions stacked with +xp gears should yeald even more xp.

It isn't that simple of a formula though, because if that was true then you'd get half as much experience when using heavy weapons.
I don't think that anyone knows exactly how it works so the best way to find out would be to test it :)
