are they only in SC?

where are they found? -- well? cata? arena? transmuting?

any more history on them? (part of a patch or soemthing?)

yes, they are only SC. They are items that were found in previous seasons of LS. HC has no unspawnables because the caps on items were adjusted before HC existed.

rather, I should say they were found in the early seasons of LS.

Their are few overspawns on hc, but they exist.

Overspawns and unspawnables aren't the same thing though. Overspawns can jump the limits of one or two tiers like a 201ee level 45 club or an 8 mana regen tier 3 ice; unspawnables are from previous versions before item caps existed so they are way over the limit, like a 50 int tier 3 dagger or a 1k max life tier 1 charm.
