The downsides to consider are firstly the obvious risk of death where you'd lose everything, but also that items are more costly and that less people play HC. If you prefer solo having less players won't matter much, but if you're hoping for lots of catacombs games you may be disappointed.

ppl just play hc bc its a challenge unlike sc u can die n get gear still just lose xp i think n prof. hc u lose u lose wat u paid for char .
