hi i have a magician and i have never played ladder slashwer b4 what kind of builds can i make with this character?

Stat either all intelligence, or do the first 5 or 10 into vitality, then all into intelligence.
Gearwise, look for:

Weapon with +intelligence
Armor with +intelligence
Damage charm with enhanced effect
Healing charm (in your acc slot) with enhanced effect

If you're working on a very tight budget and want to play catacombs only, you could also just buy heal charms and HM gear to heal in catas.
If you're looking to have a chance in arena, follow the quoted build suggestion.

So I also have a magican and I really suck at this game but when I do catacombs I go om all the time what should I do about it?

It'd be better to make your own thread probably, but the problem I see is that you're using an attack charm. In catacomb games, you should only be healing as a mage. (attacking with melee weapon to gain exp between heals)
