After hitting Sammy, I started thinking of what kind of Melee set I wanted to keep aside from Axes, which are necessary for Headhunters. I'm torn between Daggers and Swords since both cover a lot of Classes.

I need some help deciding what's best for me. Any suggestions?

Swords are more expensive than daggers imo, besides you can have better average dmg with daggers, swords only give you high critical hits...

its up to you, but I would say daggers > swords ;)

If you have axes - and you want to be able to reset and be able to play all the melee classes with 1 more set - you need daggers.
Fighter: Axe
Samurai: Dagger
Paladin: Axe
Monk: Dagger
Ninja: Dagger
Warlock: Caster (Staff) (You need this one anyway - if you get daggers or swords)
Headhunter: Axe

With swords and axes you won't be able to play the Monk as a melee character.

I was fortunate to go with Swords on feeder... but that did not mean that I only chose Sword... I also got some profs in Axe/Club/Focused heal...
Now I just passed to Sammy... now I am gettting profs in Dagger & Casting... at low levels... and back to sword when I am high enough level to
gain profs...

You can do the same with your Sammy as you MQ more (if you do not pass)... you can still do Dagger as your sword profs get higher.

Example: Sword Prof Rank 5... when you are level1... use a dagger up until level 5 and then switch back to sword...

This is utilising your time and gaining profs for later on...

Feeder - Swords
Samurai - Swords
Paladin - Swords
Monk - Staffs (Guild has a good staff set, including the best MQ staff in the game :P)
Ninja - Swords
Headhunter - Axes (Steve has an awesome axe set, i'm sure he wouldn't mind lending you if you hit HH. Unless he has sold them :S)

so... swords is a good pick :P
