So yeah... I got 1 in sword proficiency, and to my disgust, it only gave me 1% enhanced effect.

But now I'm working on a mage (heal), and I wonder... are proficiencies worth working on at all?

I never got level 2 or past that, so idk if it goes up or not.

Proficiencies are very helpful in my opinion, but if you want to switch characters don't let proficiencies hold you back.

i think proficiencies are very important. They will eventually add up. I have rank 20 in daggers, so thats 20 more EE on my items. It just takes some time to build them up

prof builds on ur climbs if ur dedicated to climbing ur char then prof helps a lot

some people get 2-4 prof in 1 climb which is very good

speaking of which, does any1 know how the proficiencies grow? I mean, do they grow on damage/success or do they grow on the number of times you use that preticular item/skill?

Like.. if I hit 10 hits of 1,000 damage with a sword, and then hit 1,000 hits of 10 damage, which would make the proficiency grow more?

I'm wondering how they work too. I have 38.8 on lightning and it doesn't seem to grow. What am I doing wrong?

You only gain proficeincies if you are fighting monsters 1 level about your current rank. So if you have a rank 5, you will only gain if you fight level 6 monsters or higher. You gain profs faster in arena than in catacombs. You can only get profs for 10 clicks on each monster since a new update that has taken place. I can't really tell you how much you actually get per action. I know its not 1 click= 1 point in prof. In some cases it is but not all Hope this clears some things up for you
