Im a lvl 17 barb atm

what items and attributes should i look out as i progress such as heal mastery, EE, all of that stuff...

Weapon- Enhanced Effect( the higher the better) You can use the following wpns: Sword, Club, Axe, Warhammer, Battleaxe, Polearm
Armor- For catacombs look for heavy armors with EE. For arena look for heavy armors with stats such as strength or dex
For charms- Look for stats such as strength or dex

Drops are all random. No1 really knows what and how magic luck works.

although i would say stick to swords since you cna use those for the first 3 characters. feeder, sammy and pally. monk uses staffs/daggers. so if you buy a sword set a staff set and a axe set you will be set all the way up to alchemist.

my barb is using an axe atm... and ive been going good with that so far :]

once you find the type you like make sure to stick with that to build up your proficiencies

Proficiencies are a passive addition to the enhanced effect given to the item or skill it represents. Additions to proficiency levels are represented as ranks. You gain progress for your proficiency by using the given item or skill. For example, if you use a sword, you will work towards improving your sword proficiency. If you successfully fish, you will gain progress towards your fishing proficiency.

Deaths reflect negatively on all of your weapon and charm proficiences and will lose a percentage of your accumulated progress if you die. yeah...each time i lvl up im trying to find an axe with a tier that correlates to my lvl so i can do more damage...lately im lvl 19 now and i still got bronze axe with 40% EE...i do like 84+ damage on occasions...still looking to upgrade my wep and armor :/
