When should I stop putting points into dex? is it 70? for crit strike?

I use 120-125 dex at level 55, but people say that 80-100 dex on barbs works pretty well.

Depends on your weaponry. If you use axe, you dont need much dex, pure STR works better damage wise. If sword, then yes, 100-120 dex is usually what you want to aim for at 55 with gear.

Do pure strength!

It depends on what you like, if you like heavy dmg you should do strength! but if you like less damage but more crits then you should go with dex.

if you like both get to about 45 55 with dexterity and then do strength

It doesn't matter what weapon type you use in determining how much dexterity to have. If you're using low end gear you may have to get away with 75+, while I'd say 115-130 is ideal. Make sure that your strength ends up being greater than or at least equal to your dext amount (that can be a good way to judge how much of either you're able to get).

Pure strength builds may be ok at times, but you'll be highly unlikely to get a crit strike and will take high damage from most monsters.

Remember, dex adds to your crits, but also helps stop your enemies...
