I use my palading but sometimes he dies. My gear is very good too:

256% EE Axe
35 Dex / 10% Life Steal / 9% Armor Pierce Charm
28 Str / 8% Life Steal Armor

I went with high life steal since it heals me a ton throught the fight. Still, at 71, some welled monsters kill me.

I know most wellers are mages. If I were to make a top of the line mage, would I have better success?

Melee usually does poorly when it comes to welling.
The best weller would be a mage, because they can deal out damage as well as heal themselves.
You want to start welling at ~ lvl 64, as you progress to higher levels it becomes harder.

yes 71 welling is the eisiest cause once u well u can mq any time u want or lvl higher and get in the ladder

if you want to be more successful just make a mage, they will be able to complete more wells than your melee at this time.

Yes the monster level does increase, making it harder but you also have more mana/ INT. But on the bad side that means more time to regen.

No1 came really say whether welling at high levels is more beneficial to better drops than welling at 64. I believe some1 did either 100 or 200 wells at 64 and then 100 or 200 wells at 71 and I dont think one was better than the other.

I've welled to lvl 71-75 on my alky, only found 1 decent item. I find no difference welling at 64 then at 71. Besides that, I'm gaining prof solo'in to 71.
