i have a lvl 5 fighter or something but ive seen mages just donimate everything but i have no idea wtf im doing is there anyone that can give me some tips or advice or something to help me perfect it a bit better? and thanks if so and if not thanks anyhow for checking ><

Mages can do quite well, however they need more FG investing to perform at their peak. With the amount you have, you should be able to make a halfway decent one, I would recommend following Nev's guide found here:

I have climbed twice using that guide, and have not had many problems.

A general rule of thumb: either add your first 10 to VIT, or go 5/5 VIT/INT, then the rest to INT. That way you will have some HP when it gets later in the game.

Intel on your weapon/armor, and a high EE damage and heal charm is the way to go. If you are in catacombs leveling, you can use Heal Mastery weapon/armor to help buff your heals.
