Im assuming you are going to make him a healer? If so just put all stats into intelligence.

Like Todd said you should put every stat point into intelligence. Look for weapons, armour, and charms with heal mastery and then use a heal charm with enhanced effect in your accessory slot. Try to upgrade your gear every 10 or 15 levels and you'll be good ;) everyone loves a healer in catacombs, no matter how crappy they are ^_^
