i have cooking @ level 1 now i cant get it to go up higher?
i am fishing level 1-3 and no effect... must i fish higher to get cooking up more?

You need to cook level 5 fish in order to gain any proficiency past level 1.

i just fished level 5 fish and i got the same kind... sardine

I mean your fishing skill has to be above 5 to catch herrings or something like that.

I don't fish, but I know that you won't gain cooking experience past 1 until fishing is 5 or above.

ok now it makes way more sense. thanks guess i better find out if i should use my level 10 skill req rod with 60 duribilty or a rod with no req and 8 dur if i have only level 1 fishing...
