I have very little forum gold, and right now I have a level 26 mage who can kill 1 arena monster at a time; then I have to heal.

I'm basically at a dead end unless I can magically find better items or magically get more forum gold.

I also am unable to kill any well monster.

I was wondering if there was a cheap way to build a good weller, so that I could start getting some forum gold going.

Thanks for any suggestions!

It's probably not a good idea to start on hardcore, and it's definitely not a good idea to play a hardcore character with anything below 50 vitality.

And there's not really any cheap way to get rich in this game. Just climb however you can (thank god for catacombs) and try to find good items or sell your MQ's. If you had 500 or 1k fg then I'd say it might be worth it to make a welling character, but with that low of fg you're not going to have a very effective one.

Some people just climb on hardcore from 1 - 10 on a fighter or barbarian and put every item up on the market for 1 fg for people to buy as shrineables, but I've never done that so I don't know how good of a way to make money it is.

Once you get to 71 you have to option to attempt the master quest. If you fail you get 1 guild point and if you pass you get 2, and some guilds pay 50 fg - 125 fg per point.
