build it as you would any other melee.

if you are going caster, go all intelligence, get an int heavy armor, int weapon and high ee charm + heal

at 55 with your gear on, you need to have about 110-120 dex. Put the rest into strength.

i love my zealer... its the shit in uber and everything else besides hell act 4.. due to maiden but merch does 4k with insight so im all good :)
