Going to say this right now, if you want to make fg from ls you have to spend fg on gear.
If you don't have fg, all you can really do is get fg from selling 1fg shrineables on hc and that's a grind.
If you have some fg start on sc, on hc when you lose your gear it's gone and not to mention it will be much more expensive and difficult to climb on top of death penalties.
On builds it's always all int on magician and pretty much everything else is 100-120 dex and rest in str with mq gear, get over the topics with 'what should I stat?', there is no deviation from this, ever. Personally I use 100 dex for anything but characters that start with 60+ dex like rogue and monk, in which case I can easily get it to 130 pretty early and the crits are just fantastic.
I can't stress this enough, get weapons first and ee plates second if you're just starting melee, they're your bread and butter and you'll never need anything else except for whatever your choice in charms are. I've even seen some crazy bastards trying to go quick draw but the rest of us are fine with str/dex/lpa/lpk, I mean really just use your own discretion with charms and know the caps for levels when factoring price.
All you mages should know the drill by now. All int stats, int/hm weapons, int/hm armors, ee/hm charms, ee acc heals. I've done climbs as both rogue and magician caster and they were both done easily with maze catas and I always kept up with the heals in catas, rarely even casting solo although even then I could see how it could be easily done. Keep it 80+ ee and you can't go wrong.
And stop using items that are like 15-20 levels lower req than your level, whites are better at that points ffs. Stop trying to get into guilds if you're just starting out, it's more likely selling your gp to buy more gear will get you into a better guild than any guild that would accept somebody without even one mq under their belt.
This turned into a rant from a help topic very quickly... but you people know who you are.
Tl;dr Just get out now, you'll never learn.
If you didn't understand the lingo that means you didn't even read stickies yet and that's a crying shame. Questions?
