Okay... there are a few questions within the ideas that I am implementing.
Now the ideas maybe fruitless... but some good advice is welcome.

First off... I am thinking of making a "Magic Luck" finder (possibly nub idea)
Principal of this character... Level up my character/reroll/change class
... Level up to 10 or 15? (want to find +2 Magic Luck Items... wpn/armor/charm)
... Reroll character... put on 3x +2 Luck items (wpn/armor/charm) that can be used by that character class
... Kill things off and only collect... Angelic/Legendary items
... Transmute the poor mod Angelic/Legendary items to get the "Essence" of those items (yes tier 1-3)
... As I level up... I will hopefully find better copper etc items for later use

Now... is that a good idea since I am just starting out? or should I just keep levelling up to 20 and reroll?

Q... Is this the right approach to doing LS:
I have never done an "MQ"... and the Samurai is first to unlock...
Based on the weapon he can use, I was thinking of getting my "Sword" proficiency up high while I am levelling, so that I can change reroll the character and change class and be very proficient with "Sword"... giving me some edge...

Next (if I continue to play LS) after completing MQ with Samurai (note, get proficiencies in Dagger), the next character unlocked is: Paladin, again I can use the "Sword" proficiencies from before.

Now... if I do the MQ with my Paladin, can i reroll/change class to Monk and use this character that will have some "Dagger" proficiencies..

I am sure you know where I am going with this... so do you know if it works... or am I just getting too ahead of myself?

A... The magic luck finder idea is very bad :) , Just get gear that will make it so you are not a TOTAL leacher in catacombs
So, using magic luck items is not a good idea ^_^, I personally do not sell angelic+ tier 1-3 items because they mostly end up not selling and wasting space.
If you are very very very patient and have like 12 hours a day to spare, then by all means become a muter and mute all the crap you get for essances.

Pretty much, make a gaurdian, grab a crappy heal, and an ee plate, and do catacombs, its cheap and people won't always kick you out as long as you tank / heal a bit :)

The people that used to buy these for 1-3fg dont anymore, because they can mute higher lvl stuff.
They barely sell anymore, i put em for 1fg and they end up just sitting on a mule

A... no, the crazy muters are too good for these

A... I suggest using the swords because you use swords Feeder~Paladin then Ninja

Now... if I do the MQ with my Paladin, can i reroll/change class to Monk and use this character that will have some "Dagger" proficiencies..
For Monk i would buy a new cheap staff set and lvl it up from there

I am sure you know where I am going with this... so do you know if it works... or am I just getting too ahead of myself?
A... nope, its a great approach, just have fun with the game, and after 1-2 weeks, youll get the hang of it 4 sure :)

You've got some interesting ideas going on and I'll try to address them point by point.



First off - the magic luck finder idea will be a waste of time and fg. Magic luck should be considered a nice secondary mod but definitely not a primary mod by any means. I think that you would get very frustrated because even if you found 50 mystical+ tier I - V items you'll have a hell of a time selling each one for 1 fg (it would take a week at least in my opinion, and some will never be bought). I think that you can make a lot more fg by simply climbing a character :)

It is not worth it at all to sell low level essences (partially because no one will buy them). You'd be better off just muting them with something else to get your proficiency higher :)

And I definitely think that you're looking way too far into the future with this. Just buy whatever gear and weapons you can afford because if you stock up a whole bunch of gear for your samurai and paladin climbs but don't pass your MQs at all then you'll be pretty disappointed... I think that it would be much wiser to just cross that bridge when you come to it and use whatever weapon you want now.

The game seems really slow at first but once you get in the swing of things and have done your first climb it'll all settle down :) oh and by the way, you should shoot me a PM if you're interested in joining a LS-oriented guild ^_^ you can read the charter and please PM me if you've got any questions or anything like that (about my guild, ladder slasher, or just d2jsp in general - I'm always happy to help).

Thank you for your suggestions... they were helpful also.

On another note...
I don't really do Catacombs just yet... got no real good items... got no real fg...
This was the reason behind the "+Magic Luck" build to get me started in finding some good "Starter" gear.

I did test out Cata on a few occasions... teams kept on disbanding or dying... and my damage/defense was pathetic.

Thanks for your input... all information noted...

I might just take you up on your "Guild" offer, I read your charter... seems pretty easy enough...

Note: I like to see how the game is before I commit to it... not really after fg... just trying to start from scratch and see how well I do...

I notice the time it takes to "Mute" and the length of time it requires to get proficiencies... seems like hard work (i get enough of that already... lol)
I am assuming that over time, muting items will be the fg maker... if you make some godly items of course...
