the guide gandalf posted is great
but to answer your lvl question
it doesn't matter what level you are
I have my muter (kinda like glyphing) parked at level 10 so that he can wear a bunch of eis stuff
then I use a different character to do the 1-5 rerolls to find items to use
this is also your best bet for on HC because you wouldn't want to accidentally die on your glypher and lose all that time and energy

cool i've tried like 20 times not even did glyph 1 of em xD haha best was about 5% of the line full xD
damn hard glyphing lol
