Here's my little guide for all you who like me are starters to LS.
This will require you 0 fg to start and possibly with a little patience you'll start geting some better and better gear for the char you want to make.
What you'll need to do is make a fighter and climb it a few times from lvl 1 to lvl 5-10-15(i only did it twice but till lvl 13 cuz i didn't have the patience... but at lvl 15 you'll start geting iron gear wich will make the climb from lvl 5 to 10 much easyer).
So... now you have your lvl 1 fighter.
Put the 10 starting points into dex and go to the arena and start killing mobs.
Every lvl you'll get 1 stat point to spend... spend those points into dex also.
It's gonna be easy till lvl 3 and you'll get some beginer gear out of it.
Pick up a magic/rare sword, plate mail, wind/fire(with magic luck) and continue till lvl 5. If you don't get too many magic+ items it's not so bad. Just keep any 50+life magic+ items and when you're full just glymph them.
Any Arcane, Mythical items try to put them on the market for sale... they will sell sooner or later. And if you cant sell anymore just make a mule and sell them from there... the more items you have on the market the better chance you'll have to sell.
You've made your first climb to lvl 5... now what?
Just go to the character screen and Reroll your char and make it lvl 1 again... choose fighter again and start over.
Once you've made 3-5fg's from selling all those stuff you've collected it's time to get some better gear.
So now go to the market and lets search for gear...
Having buy selected search for swords with level range III(0) to III(0). Most if not all swords will be 1-2 fg... now its time to get a sword that worths it.
A good sword would be 15+enhanced effect, 9x+ max life, 1 magic luck, x critical strike,(this is close to what i use) (sword has to be magic+ bronze sword).
Another good sword could be: 120+max life, x critical strike, x-xx dex or x to x life per attack (life/attack is very nice to have at these levels because it can keep you fighting for a long long time)...
Hopefully you'll find a nice bronze sword fast(i did in my first search). Now its time go get the armour.
Having buy selected search for armor > plate mail > level range III(0) to III(0). Again most of them will be 1-2 fg... and you'll search for one with something similar to:
25+enchanced effect, 1 to x life per attack, and other usefull stats for you such as: max life or dex or str or magic luck(its nice to have magic luck on all your items because this will be a low lvl mf grinder to get you started)...
Now search for a lvl 1 charm(its not needed but very nice to have). Search for charms > ice/fire/wind/lighting/etc > level range I(0) to I(0) with the following stats:
1 macig luck, x str/dex, 1 to x life per attack. Other nice mod on it would be + max life. equip this charm into the charm slot not Acc. Charm as it seems that it doesn't give the bonuses.
Now you're almost set to go grind the mobs and start bringing those fg's in.
Now its time to try the catacombs too... Go the the catacombs and press create group and then engage(you'll solo through so you don't need any others to join). Move arround and kill as many mobs as you can. Pick up anything worth selling and when you're full just go sell/mule and sell everything... As soon as you have them on the market the better. Try to get pick up other stuff to(magical +) even if they're not worth selling, just to shrine them so you can get back up into the catas faster.
A lvl 1 - lvl 5 climb should take you less than 1 hour and(for me atleast) you can find up to 3-5 items to put on the market. Even more... in the ones i did till lvl 13 i put even 12 items on the market.
While grinding you'll find focused heal charms I(0). Equip one of them(bonus doesn't matter) into your Acc. Charm. Even if you have low mana it will require 5 mana for 1 heal and will heal 5hp. At lvl 5 it you'll have 70 mana... thats 14 heals = 70 life... that for me at lvl 5 means 3-4 more mob waves and it won't cost you any fg because you'll find it sooner or later... but you can do without it too... it's just a matter of choice(i also play a higher lvl mage and i'm used to healing

).
Now... what to keep and sell(you'll get the hang of it after a few climbs):
- Any Angelic items (they sell fast even with crappy adds)
- Any Mythincal items (they sell pretty fast even with crappy adds)
- Any Magical/Rare items with EE and usefull mods(like inteligence for stuff mages can wear - armor and staff or dagger) (they'll sell eventualy)...
After a few climbs you'll already have 2-3 mules full of items on the market. And you'll soon get the hang of what sells and whatnot.
Stuff you can glymph and sell as glymphs:
- Any item with 50+ hp
- Any item with 50+ mana
These two have the best sale rate for me... but remember any other usefull mods that apply to glymphs(i'm not sure yet what and whatnot applys to glymphs yet) will do.
Using this guide to do 1-2 climbs everyday to lvl 5-10-15... in the last 6 days i made a little over 50fg's. I know this isn't much but most of my climbs were only up to lvl 5 so not so many usefull items to sell... But its a start for those who struggle and don't have an alternative way to make fg's (like d2/poker/sport bets/sigs/etc). Something like 50 fg's will allow you to make a char that can go easyly up to lvl 35+(i have a lvl 33 mage right now... and i spent 10fg's for his equip till this lvl).
I'll continue this guide with the info needed to get items with lvl range IV(5)... so you can easyly go up to lvl 15(working on it right now... to see if its a good option to just multiplayer catacombs till lvl 15 to get iron items or just buy them cuz less fg spent is more you can spend on your main char).
Hope you guys like this guide and find a use for it(i know ppl with fg will not have a use for it... and those that know to play the game better than me will have something better or just say that the best thing is to climb to higher lvls and try to get lucky with items... but i think that having a starting capital to not get to the point where you can't kill more than 3 mobs/regen is better).
And beacause a friend asked... i'll explain why(for me) its best to put all the points into dex for this low lvl mf grinder:
Str will not make you hit much harder for these lvls... you won't hit as much crits as you do with all dex and you'll get hit much more and for more dmg.
Also first 10 points into vit is useless... as you'll need these maybe from lvl 15-20+ not till lvl 15.
Dex is the way to go: much less hits on you(80% will be 0dmg hits on you), you'll hit more and you'll hit alot of crits. Less dmg taken over times combined with crits will be much better than adding str or vit... (even the dex on equip... but if you can't get dex on equip str is good too).
