if you have some fg, it is a good choice
they give really constant dmg.
but keep in mind that you won't be able to use them on the samurai if ever you pass your MQ
still if you go full axes, you'll need a lot of str
the higher the str, the better.
get some dext to prevent any critical hits ( like 60-70 dext )
then all in str
